I started painting in 2023 as a creative outlet after a life-changing second bout of breast cancer. I'm cancer-free, but I've continued to paint, learning on my own and relying heavily on instinct rather than formal techniques to achieve desired results. Vibrant, bold color is important to me. I've found that I also gravitate towards compositions that tell a little story rather than portray a singular motif. Painting brings me so much happiness, and if I can pass on that happiness then I've succeeded as an artist. Medium(s): Acrylic

My approach to wearable fine art jewelry which includes the use of authentic materials and years of design experimentation, adds depth and value to my pieces. This distinguishes them from generic or mass-produced accessories and demonstrates a keen understanding of the intersection between fashion, creativity, and individuality. By providing collectors with a way to express themselves in a truly unique and authentic way, I am helping them to stand out and be seen as individuals. Having a background in architecture gives my work a strong feeling of movement and 3-dimensionality. The combination of semi-precious stones, pearls, and mixed metals can create stunning visual effects that enhance the overall aesthetic of my work. Incorporating fine silver on natural materials such as saguaro skin, cholla bark, and seed pods into the designs, along with the torch-controlled chaos of reticulated silver brings a unique texture and organic quality to my pieces. Medium(s): Jewelry, Mixed Media

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Growing up, I spent my summers on relatives ranches and developed a love for ranching, horses and the Western way of life. As a young girl, I was exposed to Native American trading posts in a rural area of New Mexico. They came in horse drawn wagons and the wall behind the counter was covered with stunning turquoise and silver jewelry. As an adult, I moved to an acreage in Black Forest where I raised my sons and had my horses. In the eighties I relocated my family to Scottsdale. The Southwest, desert, and the influence of all things Native American continued to fuel my passion for artwork and jewelry.I started making jewelry by accident when I broke my necklace and found a bead supply store. I began making fun “bling”, got more serious and began using higher quality materials. I began making my own style of Southwest jewelry using turquoise and antique Native American pieces I’ve admired all my life. My studio is in my home filled with western paintings and artifacts that make a wonderful place to create jewelry. Medium(s): Jewelry
