Privacy overview

We keep local-only data needed to publish the directory, stories, and events — and to review community submissions.

Public listings. Business, event, and story records contain the information shown on the site.

Submissions. Contributor contact details and submitted content are kept for editorial review and verification. They are not displayed publicly until approved.

Newsletter. Signups use double opt-in: we send a confirmation email first, and an address is active only after the link is clicked. You can remove an address any time on the unsubscribe page.

First-party analytics. Public page visits are counted with anonymous first-party session cookies so the administrator can understand page views, referrers, and approximate session length. Raw IP addresses are not stored for analytics, and admin, login, API, and Coming Soon routes are excluded. The administrator may exclude specific addresses from analytics; excluded addresses are compared only at collection time and are not recorded.

Backups. Administrator backups are private site snapshots used for recovery and continuity. They may contain submitted content, contributor contact details, and unpublished records, so they are protected as sensitive private data and are not published publicly.
