Jamie Aronson Tyus

I started painting in 2023 as a creative outlet after a life-changing second bout of breast cancer. I'm cancer-free, but I've continued to paint, learning on my own and relying heavily on instinct rather than formal techniques to achieve desired results. Vibrant, bold color is important to me. I've found that I also gravitate towards compositions that tell a little story rather than portray a singular motif. Painting brings me so much happiness, and if I can pass on that happiness then I've succeeded as an artist.
