Due to my love of art and many years of studies under widely known artists, I have been able to express myself thru many venues, however, my first love is painting. The mediums I primarily work with are oil and acrylic where I excel in but am not limited to landscapes, mountains, waterfalls, seascapes, sunsets and while living in Alaska I fell in love with painting bears and wildlife. Medium(s): Oil, Acrylic, Glass

My works are intended to capture timeless and recognizable family situations in contemporary informal settings. Iconic domestic images and playful marital predicaments resonate with most people. The process of narrative genre painting goes from sketching mirthful ideas to taking reference photos to capturing the scene with the richness and workability of oil paint. Choosing photographs as references capture light and likeness since the models are not local. Photos are a great tool and go between what the eye sees in the moment to the canvas. They lend authenticity so that you, the viewer, can see that the figures before you are real people. Use of careful posing and props with real animated characters, allows the creation of lighthearted reflections of America. My works are inspired by the domestic scenes of Sofonisba Anguisola, the story telling of William Hogarth, and the American images of Norman Rockwell. Medium(s): Oil, Jewelry, Photography

Art has always been in my life. Pencils, crayons, 5 & 10 watercolors. It was always so much fun! No one ever told me I could be a doctor. I was always going to be an artist. So art as my major at the University of Denver, art classes and workshops in NY at the School of Visual Arts and the National Academy, courses in London, San Francisco, Connecticut at the Washington Art Association and Silvermine Arts Center and in Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Artists™ School. Medium(s): Oil, Watercolor, Pencil

Through my paintings, I invite you to step into a world of reimagined landscapes—vivid, expressive spaces where color and emotion merge. Inspired by fleeting moments in nature—a golden sunset, a storm-laden sky, or the rugged silhouette of a mountain—I paint from an inward place, translating my experiences into bold, radiant compositions. Medium(s): Oil, Acrylic, Mixed Media
