Sherry Blanchard Stuart

My work is considered mostly traditional in style, and yet, is quite varied. Still life, landscapes, animals and figurative work, including portrait, are all studies. I seek interesting light qualities on my subject matter which come from a direct observation of nature and a reverence for its truth and beauty.It all comes together in my current concentration on the American West. I am inspired by the people, animals and landscape – living in Arizona has a great deal to do with that. The vastness and uniqueness of the environment and the nobleness of the human form, are all contributing factors to this inspiration.
